The sea breeze is racing passed my cheeks as I sit as low as I can in the saddle. I feel like a jockey again. I glance down to see the sand flying rapidly off Bella’s hooves. A massive grin covers my face. I literally cannot tell you how fast we are travelling. Bella has the speed of lightning, we are locked in our happy bubble and I never want this to end. I can hear Bella blowing. I gather up my reins and ease her down to a trot. I am slightly out of breath too. Our exhilarating gallop has left me feeling on top of the world. I lean forward and give Bella a well-done kiss on her neck and now have a mouthful of sand! “Well done my baby. This isn't the first book I've read by Holland, and I am very familiar and fond of Emily, and of course, her beautiful horse, Bella. The adventures of Bella & Emily Devon-Revisited Week 1 was no different. Emily excited and focused on her visit, and her goal. As the characters are, very attached to the ones they rescue, I have grown attached to all of the characters, both human and non-human. Holland tells a great story behind Emily's voice, and it brings the story to life. I like her writing style, and, as a plug for the author, half the profits from this book goes to animal rescue charities. The story is heart-filling, and heart-breaking, in a way that touches your heart. Again, another magnificent, and all-too real story from Holland. "Yikes, me and Bella are first. 'Bella, I love you with every ounce of my heart. Come on we can do this. Let’s just enjoy ourselves”, I tell her with a pat down her neck." The author's love for what she writes shines through in the stories surrounding Bella and Emily.

Bella and Emily are back in Devon spending 3 weeks with Aunty Pam. It's lovely to see Emily continue to build a loving and trusting relationship with Speckles a traumatised rescue pony. New rescue animals appear and old friends are happily re-homed. A great read with a lot of information on the care of ponies.
