I had decided to go with Shen to pick up the voodoo priestess, Elsa Prescott, at the airport. I had limited knowledge of voodoo or religions of such, but from what I saw on the television and movies, the priestesses were always called “Mambo”. From what I was told by Shen, this woman went by the name of Elsa. Elsa, the African high priestess. How very odd. I hoped she was legitimate in her claims.
Sky Harbor airport was uncommonly crowded, or so it seemed to Shen and me as we picked our way through the mass of people toward the US Airways arrival area. We’d barely settled in the waiting area when the plane eased its way to the terminal.
It didn’t take long for the passengers to debark the plane.
Elsa gave Shen a brief description of herself, but even if she hadn’t she’d have been easy to find. Her rich ebony skin against her deep purple tunic was a sight to behold. It was only surpassed by the combination of her high cheekbones that were accentuated by the purple turban secured on her head. Her skin was so smooth and youthful looking I we’d been told to look for an older woman. I’d never seen someone as striking as this bulky woman of African descent.
She approached us hesitantly. She wanted to take her time and scan the energies of our bodies. That wasn’t easy to do in such a large crowd. Although we came highly recommended, it was her nature to question and mistrust first, like later. She took it slow while she monitored the individual and eased into a friendship or business relationship. Her motto was ‘guilty until proven innocent’.

We now get to see the continuing story of Dan Tugur. It starts out with a little bit of a recap from things that happened in book one which is extremely helpful. When Shen goes to find Tatyana and her baby brother, what happens? We get to meet a some new characters, Maggie, Elsa, Nandru, Ken and his paranormal group. When Shen is captured yet again, who has him? What do they do with him and why? What is the ultimate goal? When Dragomir and Osip come back to the United States, where do they go? What happens while they're there? One of my favorite quotes comes from the book when they're waiting for Nandru to return one day and it comes from Dragomir, "Now there goes a vampire with spunk." I could not stop laughing. You'll understand when you read what had just happened when that line was stated. I loved it. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. You know it's coming because of the thoughts Osip has at the end, the plan he is devising. Read and see what happens. Make sure you've read book 1 first!

This is the continuation of Vampire Iniquity. I can't say much because i don't want to give away what happens. I will say its almost all the same main characters from the first book joined by a few new ones. This book continues where thr first left off. Dan and When joined by Bruce are looking forward to some downtime before going back to look for and save Tatyana and her baby brother Charles. Unfortunately they don't get what they want. As they race to find Tatyana they have to deal with new vampires as well as old coming for each of them as well as a New threat that may make one of them a monster. Such a great book with lots of action that kept the book flowing and me reading as fast as i can to find out what happens.
