Or has it? When the cannibals arrive in Seattle, they encounter a small colony of Old Ones, but rather than being a source of protein, these people are protected by an army of flying robots. Whose side will they take?
Jack Kennedy, his family and friends, will once again face terrible danger as they struggle to survive. Away from the West Coast, the country descends into madness as the cannibals cement their control. All is lost when President Oren Marshall, the cannibal leader, burns the Founding documents in front of the Capitol. Yet there is another, more terrifying truth that will seal the fate of the once great nation. Jack may survive, but American will not.

There is always a danger when writing about near future that one will be way off. From the brief sketch that you given here, appear to be writing in apocalyptic future where the United States has fallen into an epidemic (?) of cannibalism. Human history is filled with historical examples of people, while starving, eating the dead. Whether or not there have been cannibalistic tribes eating humans as a primary source of protein is questionable.
But, if you are just writing escapism like so much in books, television and movies these days, can write anything you want and it can be highly successful. After all, some of the greatest science fiction writers were way off about the future like H. G. Wells and George Orwell to name only two. I have written about the near future and have been right about some things and wrong about others. The danger in playing the future game.
