Getting KNEE DEEP in PAINTS, to continue my work on the “Council of Indigenous Grandmothers”, was emotionally and spiritually healing providing me with a sense of serenity. As I continued my daily ritual walks of prayers and affirmations a new mission was revealed to me.
Could my paintings gift others with healing, comfort and joy, especially during this season of great need? Then I almost heard the voice of my Reiki Master when she said - “Synthia, you heal through your paintings.” nearly three decades ago.
The journey continued and to date has birthed the twelve paintings in the series Healers Orishas Shamans and Deities. My dream is that each painting and the story behind it will serve to continually fascinate, educate, heal and uplift all - throughout the world.
