This is the fourth of a series, The Secret History of the Vedas. Astrology has spiritual roots, and those roots are found in one of the Vedas, the Atharva Veda. The Vedic Astrologer analyzes those spiritual roots with reference to the major Hindu Gods---Agni, Indra, Soma, and many many other lesser Gods. It gives a timeline on the creation of the Greater Universe (the Vedic dharma). It explains how all thigs astrological is the result of the creation of the Universe (Vedic dharma.), and how astrology can be used as a vehicle for personal liberation.

That most ancient wisdom is locked in the
stars, and the Vedic astrologer identifies that wisdom in the Nakshatras. This is what the Vedic astrologer seeks to discover and what the worshiper seeks to implement. When the worshiper taps into that wisdom when
traveling the devyama, the Path of the Gods, the worshiper is one with
the love that moves the cosmos. This is what is meant when the worshiper
strives to incorporate the wisdom of the Vedic dharma and live in balance
with that wisdom. It is at that point that the journey is over, at least for
the moment. If there are no more lessons to learn, the soul is liberated and
dwells for eternity with the Absolute Self, at peace. If not, the worshiper’s
soul gets ready for the next journey, and it tries again.

The Vedic Astrologer is a comprehensive book that helps guide the worshiper in their spiritual journey. Rather than a reference to predict the future this book helps guide you on an astrological level. Through the charts provided the reader cannot only navigate their way through Vedic astrology but also see the differences and similarities between it and Western astrology.
I have heard Vedic astrology was different from Western but I never truly knew how much until I started reading this book. I appreciated how the charts gave me the overall big picture as well as the written information. This is truly a deep dive into the Nakshatras and what they are about.
I would recommend this book for fans of astrology and science that are looking to explore on a more spiritual level. The book is a perfect balance for people looking for insight and knowledge. I suggest reading this book on a quiet and clear night when you can gaze out your window and up to the stars to behold all the answers within them.
