The last book in the Carl Prescott series has Carl stolen away to another universe or at least another time. There he must solve the riddle or risk the loss of everything he holds dear.
Carl Prescott has been spirited away to Limbo, an emptiness of lost souls where the gods bicker and fight, but will not admit their failure. Even in this terrible place, our hero encounters oddly familiar spirits. When Aida and Sylva come to help, Satan, the true Lord of Limbo, expels them to seal his ultimate triumph over God.
Carl Prescott and Aida Whitehall arrive in yet another universe with even more similarities to their own. This universe is almost dead, so they better hurry. The Sun will explode in days, and if they cannot stop Satan before then, the Cycle of the Universes will end, and Limbo will be our only future.
Satan's Cube is a nonstop action adventure spanning all of creation from the beginning of time through its end, and beyond. Once again, the future will be determined by Carl Prescott's action. He must resolve the Riddle of Satan's Cube or existence will end, and we will all be eternally enslaved by the Evil One.
Excerpt
There was a knock on the door to Death’s cabin at the Crossroads of Existence. “That’s unexpected,” he said as he moved from his pot of stew toward the door. When he opened it, he found Sylvia standing outside. “How did you get back here?”
“I don’t know, Uncle.”
“Please come inside. I have a fresh pot of coffee, and the stew is almost finished.”
She walked in, kissed his cheek, moved to the table, and sat down. “It was so odd. I was with your counterpart in the other universe. I had been trying to persuade him to recreate their universe.”
Mort gave her a bowl of stew and mug of coffee. “I thought Carl was with Three.”
She shook her head. “No. Your counterpart is called Two. When I went through the wormhole, I ended up on a mountain just like this, except it was shrouded in fog. I thought I came back here. I was looking for this cabin when I bumped into him.”
Mort scratched his chin. “Interesting. He sent you back?”
“No. He and I were becoming quite friendly, if you know what I mean. Carl and Aida interrupted an embrace we were sharing. Later, he and I went outside where they were with One and Three. One was very angry at them.”
“That is strange. Why was One angry with Aida and Carl?”
Sylvia shook her head. “He wasn’t. He was mad at his brothers about something, but we were too far away for me to hear. Suddenly, Carl, Aida, and I were falling down this tunnel of light. Somehow, Carl broke the tunnel open, and then he and Aida disappeared. That’s when I passed out. When I woke, I found myself at the end of the ornate bridge. I know it sounds bizarre, but that’s what I remember.”
