"Lo que ya tenía claro era que por fin había escrito un libro que no se
podía resumir en ninguna solapa". Así define el escritor Mois Benarroch su
nuevo libro, al que se niega a llamar novela, porque es más, o es menos. O
no es sólo una novela. Y como el demiurgo coherente que es, a nadie puede
caberle duda alguna de que lo ha conseguido. De la ciencia ficción al
realismo, de la narración a la poesía, de la novela al cuento, Amor y
exilios es un libro que se opone a la definición, que se opone a la
simplificación y al mercantilismo. Dividido en siete libros que crean un
único corpus narrativo, en cada uno de ellos se nos muestra una historia
de desamor en el exilio. ¿Qué es el exilio sino el alejamiento del amor
infantil deseado? En cada libro, los amantes van y vienen en busca de un
salto imposible en el tiempo. En ciertos cruces, en ciertas esquinas y en
ciertos atascos, sin saberlo, los amantes se encuentran para perderse de
nuevo para siempre. Quedará una mirada, un sentimiento vago de haber visto
por un segundo la otra realidad paralela que se desarrolla y se vive en
otra dimensión, otra realidad tan desesperada como esta en saber qué pasa
por el otro lado.

Lucena es un viaje interior hacia el porqué del exilio y es un camino moderno salpicado de diálogos, poemas, relatos y varias tramas argumentales, todo bajo la solemne sombra de un personaje que se llama Lucena y que tiene 1000 años. Un rico cosmos literario al servicio del hedonismo de quien desee aprender y disfrutar al mismo tiempo.
Allí, en Elosddana - Elí Hoshaana. D-os nos salve - empezo la hegemonía del judaismo en Sefarad y terminó la de Babilonia. Ciento cincuenta años de una ciudad judía, fuerte y prospera, la ciudad de la fe y del culto a D-os, de verdad no como hoy en día. La ciudad de mis antepasados y de los tuyos, una ciudad olvidada, ni tan importante ni dramática, ni Toledo ni Granada, pero entonces, en el siglo XI, era la ciudad de los judíos y nadie creia que pudiera ser una ciudad de judíos.
Moshe Benarroch nace en Tetuán en 1959. Descendiente de una familia sefardita expulsada de España en 1492, a los 13 años emigra con sus padres a Israel y desde entonces reside en Jerusalén. Empieza a escribir poesía a los 15 años, primero en inglés y, posteriormente en hebreo y español. Ha sido traducido al inglés, francés, alemán, urdu, gallego y mandarín. En Galicia ha publicado su poemario Esquina de Tetuán.
Toda su obra está anclada en su pasado sefardí, sus personajes responden a un opaco mapa interior, un mapa histórico que resuena en su vida actual. Y todo esto impregna también su novela Lucena, ya editada en hebrero en 2002 en Astrolog y traducida para esta edición por Roser Lluch Oms.

Poemas de Mois Benarroch, su primer libro publicado en Esquío en el año 2000 y nuevos poemas íneditos. Mois Benarroch nació en Tetuán, Marruecos en 1959. A los trece años emigra con sus padres a Israel y desde entonces reside en Jerusalén. Empieza a escribir poesía a los quince años, en Ingles, y después en Hebreo. Publica sus primeros poemas en 1979. En los años 80 forma parte de varios grupos de vanguardia y edita la revista Marot.
