| | | An Iconic Leaf (stories of words) An Iconic Leaf is brand new. It is still only on the lulu.com site. It's about words, and how people treat one another. Especially on the net, for you can say absolutely anything you want to anybody and they don't even know you name or face. What I went through is mild. You've read the horror stories. Maybe you've lived them. This is my experience.
An Iconic Leaf is about the most personal book I've ever written. And for someone like me to say that is something. It began as a chap book, but stories kept creeping in. Two of them written with three close friends. There was no hint of a theme. Then, all of a sudden, there came one. And gradually my book had a theme, boy did it have a theme. Looking back on it, it became a study of words. Proper manners and intelligent phraseology, can be beautify and eloquent, but, by the time they finish chopping you off at the knees, it can take you about three days before you realize what they've done | | | | Candles for November (now on Amazon Kindle) My first book, when I was building my whispers into braver words. It is to a past, to a moment so lovely the heart of everything tightened and claimed
It is impossible for me to describe my books. They are a collection of mercury and have each story as a peek through so many eyes that have traveled planets cross a still dark airless room. i can say one story is about a boy deformed that leads surely to a consideration he may have gotten what he deserved and while you are feeling pretty awful for coming to that conclusion, you might wonder about the story involving the whole of the Korean war being fought across the blue street in the aqua house. A solving of one of the spookier urban legend from when I was a teenager concerning a ba | | | | First Snap of Winter (on Amazon Kindle) horror is an individual quivery shard of protoplasm of something like us,and never what it seems to be, like us
Horror is where a boy never grows up and the world just gets stranger, more complex and never seems to know it. The stories are a boy at 9 twirling into his last/best Christmas, an aging man who has held onto a teenage monster icon as the only friend and November ritual, along with over 30 more, including revelations of a knife fight with my best friend, in 8th grade; a father's coming to terms with his butterfly son's heritage; a boy's ultimate sacrifice in the town in the cellar, for his mother's salvation; a boy's love of Leatherface and a family's surprise; a most huma | | | | LIVES, a Portfolio (now on Amazon Kindle) Quirky stories talked, not written, as bizarre and crafty as it happened between my voice and the keyboard.
Mostly for sheer fun. The titles are one word each, to which I have to adhere diirectly. The boy from "Scarves" in First Snap of Winter is here, cutting wide swathes through stories, including being the ultimate critic, hopping down the bunny trail, as others consider a super hero who discovers the healing of a sickness of those who wear capes, as I vocally acted out and for a time became, scaring the cats, that eye obsessed surgeon, or the doctor with a lethal thing for ties, a mention one summer night of a monster lizard next door, with a follow up story on the impor | | | | On Mornings of January Snows (on Amazon Kindle) The most cherished feeling a person has, not to be alone, to have another human being with whom to share the moment of being more than we are. This is a book about love. Under different guises, in oddest presentments.
Love is a most curious device that can make sickness a perfection, or can make a love song of a moment long ago into a world still palpable. It can take a child and make him glass, so transparent that his every secret is visible but being made of glass, he is there for only the reflection of others. And doesn't exist at all.
If madness is love and violence the purest projection of it, equally valid as being tangled in rainbows, then the concept of a need to rush to the center of everthing is so personal and at times inexplicable and it has its loyalties, it has a need to winno | | | | Trusting People (mostly poems) though my writing tries all genders and ages and circumstances, this might be considered a gay/bi collection of poems, stories and memories
The poetry and stories are wry, dark, sad, tender, dreamy. Because it is avaiable only on Kinndle, it's my most personal because, I suppose, don't have a device on which to see it. Before I start telling you the sad parts of this book, I want to tell you there is happiness too--love for my childhood friend Celesta, tribute to Jack running in the rain laughing and vibrant. The happiness keys on my keyboard still work, and they are there among the sad 'cause the sad keys work too.So it is between me and me--a haunting haunted poem of beauty quick as a raindrop in summer sun, the r | | | | What Then of Horror? To reach another human being is to experience isolation, to love is to see the gulf below, and how close you were, and are, as love pushes you in--welcome to horror
Humans spin their webs, whether knowing or not, and if the web shivers in shimmers, or Hawthorne's Young Goodman Brown is resurrected to pull the plug on witches who, this time, have plans for him, then there is one-sided love and its beauty as a young me on deep Autumn road is happiness and laughter in the process of heading out into a dream real for which he will throw his life away for unreal dream.
