Jeanne started seeing deer in the woods behind her house. There were all kinds, including families of bucks, does, and fawns. Jeanne was mystified by their beauty and started to photograph them. She then started researching deer and all the meanings they hold for different cultures. She was so inspired, she wrote a children's book, a multi-cultural Native American tale that delves into the Chickasaw tribe's roots and how deer have become sacred to them. This book is a great book for children of all ages.
