She was kind of stand-offish at first, and didn’t say much. After my friend Abby got to know her, though, she got more comfortable, and offered to take me and Abby to Amsterdam for the weekend. I couldn’t believe it, really, that someone would be so generous, but she wouldn’t take no for an answer, so Abby and I decided to go. It turned out to be quite an adventure, as you’ll see./span>
