A tale of adventure when one ship must travel back in time to catch another time-traveler who made it possible to assassinate Hitler. Germany now rules the world and it's up to a small team of men from the future to go back to Nazi Germany and put things back in order.
The United States Federation of Services Battle Cruiser Tonkin floated majestically in space dock. Attached by only two cables providing power until she was fired up, the U.S.F.S. Tonkin gleamed under the lights while last minute supplies were brought aboard for her maiden voyage. The lone catwalk still remaining was full of personnel on the way to their new duty stations, or those who finalized last minute modifications and were on their way off. Within minutes, all that was left to do was await the mission team’s arrival.

The Event is a story about a man searching for meaning after his life is shattered by the disappearance of everything he knew and loved. While on retreat to put his life back together, an odd event takes place that decimates the world. No one is left, or is there? Jack’s search to find hope leads him on journey after journey, and the discovery that there are still remnants of the past civilization he knew. Not only does he find survivors, he finds animals of a special ‘nature’ that take him headlong into a battle of the ages. In another part of the country, there is an ancient evil rising in the land hell-bent on controlling all who are left. It feeds off the frailties and emotions of those that live and will do anything to reach its needs. Jack realizes he is chosen by fate to be the one man able to stop the evolving menace, but is reluctant to use his gift. A strange group of ‘friends’ show him the way, and this culminates in the ultimate challenge when the forces of good face the forces of evil in an epic final showdown.
I woke up with a panicked feeling, for some reason I thought my toes were on fire and after assuring myself that they weren’t, I noticed that the smell of smoke was heavy in the air. Still half asleep, I again looked down at my feet wondering how they could be burning without hurting when the rest of my brain kicked in and I realized that there must be a fire somewhere close. It was still dark out and glancing at the clock let me know it was still a good half an hour before the sun would be up. The morning still was shattered by the sound of running feet echoing louder and louder on their way down to the awakening dock. Men were just starting to rise as the sun peeked weakly over the horizon. On board a small schooner, docked and rolling gently with the calm sea, a grizzled sailor made ready for launch. He was accustomed to leaving in a hurry and the shout that rang out in the otherwise silent square surprised him not at all.
