I really enjoyed reading this book! It is a great story with many twists and turns while giving you something profound to think about. The author has a real talent and I believe a future in fiction. The book starts off interesting right from page one with the big mystery in the sand! The author’s writing style is free-flowing which makes it easy to read. While this is a memoir it is definitely not boring or dry. Often a memoir is about some latter day politician claiming had he not been cheated would have become a great leader. This is a story about real people in the real world and I guarantee you will find it very hard to put down. The story opens as I leave Belfast at the age of sixteen to join the Royal Navy.
