The book of revelation is given by God the father to Jesus Christ the son, directed to John.
Only Jesus Christ can reveal the revelation to John. In a few Bible's you'll find the book of revelation is titled (The revelation of Saint John the Divine) remember this title was added by men and not by God. If you look at the very first verse in chapter one of revelation this is the direct revelation of Jesus Christ himself to john, which was given by God the father to Jesus Christ.
