MORE SENIOR MOMENTS Synopsis When I published Senior Moments last year, I had no idea the response from seniors and baby boomers would be so positive. I lectured at senior groups and the feedback was always the same. Time and again I was asked to write more on other problems seniors face, such as family strife, depression, loneliness, sexual matters, and other health problems. Three months after the first book was published I began work on More Senior Moments. On the back of More Senior Moments I put this statement: Seniors, this is your book. It contains your stories and your ideas. It is | | | | Senior Moments A guide with strategies for Seniors to deal with the problems of aging such as loss of independence, grief, depression, chronic illness and living with pain.
A book for seniors written by a senior. It contains stories of seniors who have over come some of the obstacles that come with aging | | | | Spiritual Portals For Seniors This book will help all of us reach our desired goal, a closer more spiritual relationship with God. It will give us practical, clear and faith oriented directions to growing spiritually. The direction is toward living this life to its fullest, but spirituality is also indirectly guiding us to the hereafter.
Spiritual growth means change and change always brings fear before it brings faith. It seems that most of us look for the worst before we look for the best. Developing a strong prayer life can make the changes that come into our lives more acceptable and more easily adjusted to.
One of the books I used as a reference was Conversations With God by Neale Donald Walsh. Having a conversation with God appears to be out of our scope of reality, but it can happen. We can learn to talk with God and we can learn to listen to his answers to our questions.
Once we have learned to converse with God we will find our lives changing and we will
not fear this change. In fact it will reinvigorate all aspects of our lives.
During my talks with other seniors, both men and women, the concepts of God and prayer comes up all the time. I have talked briefly about this many times in my other books. But now, I realized that there was a special need for a book about seniors and spirituality. I had observed God working miracles in senior lives and it was time to record this in an effort to help all seniors find the rewarding experience of being a spiritual person during their senior years | | | | Years Of A Million Dreams, Seniors Look At Yesterday,Today And Tomorrow This book embraces the elements of the past, present and furture for senios to consider. It contains the memories and stories of many seniors. It also offers suggestions on how we can get the most out of our golden years and how we can deal with the universal problems that go along with the aging process.
Our self image was bult by the events of yesterday. It contnues to be built on the events of today, and will be greatly influenced by the events of tomorrow.
Can you remember when yesterday had little meaning, when only today and tomorrow were important? Most of us can. We all remember how when we left childhood and grew into adolescence and then adulthood, we suddenly became aware of yesterday. While we live through the passing years, yesterday gradually becomes more and more of a reality. We begin to realize that all we are today, our education, our work , |
