They arrived in Pennsylvania, and migrated from Philadelphia through Maryland, into southwestern Virginia. Hans Johannes Bischoff, 18 years old when he arrived in America, settled in what is now Floyd County Virginia, and remained there until his death approximately 1810. This book series documents what is known of his life, and the lives of his many many descendants.
