Pain! I imagine many write from it. I too, had heartbreak and loss as the motivator to writing what began as a log, a journal if you will, to help me through tough times. When I finally shared it with a famous Author (friend), I was advised to rework it and publish: I did! I am a read-a-holic, and assimilated many books: Philosophy, Metaphysics, Theology, even Science. These influences coupled with life experiences, is the paradigm compilation that I try to publish. I have several books in the works (3 are finished, 1 already published), and so it is my destiny, my calling, and my purpose, to write.
