I sit here contemplating all the changes I have seen this world go through during my lifetime. I am applaud at so many horrific things I could never have possibly dreamt up in my wildest of thoughts.
So many people have become cruel, crass, brazen, hardened, insensitive, detached, and unfeeling. I often wonder what has happened to make up this kind of person.
Though times are tough now there have always been tough times throughout history, so why does is seem there are less and less caring, kind, giving, thoughtful people as time goes on?
We live in a time where we can see the news occurring instantaneously. There are social media sites where we can interact with people from all around the world regarding said news. We have people berating another for a simple opinion that is not to their liking. More and more there are negative people and doomsayers who want to hurt another with words all for a comment or political viewpoint that did not agree with what they wanted.
We see horrific beheadings, tortures, etc., because some religion deems this appropriate and we become hardened, callous and even accepting after the initial shock wears off.
People complain that this is wrong or that is wrong but never really take a positive stance or action to stop any injustice. They allow the horrors to continue and turn the other cheek.
How long will this go on before it finally hits home and we are forced to now actually take action only to find that any source of defense has already been taken away while we were looking the other way thinking we did the right thing?
We stand idly by assuming our government has our best interest at heart but in the long run, do they really?
When do we step in and demand our government, religious leaders and people of the Earth (to) stop hurting and killing one another because they think a written word justifies such horrendous acts upon another living being?
When do we step in and say enough is enough in the torture and killing of an animal for sport, experimentation, food, rituals, entertainment, etc? And why is so many of these acceptable?
How many people are left who have a heart and have not turned away from helping another in distress?
So many questions and very few answers, to these injustices.
Many believe someone else will take care of the wrong yet those doing the wrong think they are right and think they are given those rights by certain beliefs.
Torture, killing, bullying, control, greed, prejudice and more atrocities against nature, animals and humans can only be stopped when you refuse to listen to someone who thinks these things are acceptable because they say so by having read a book. Or have been guided by a light.
Do your own research. Look deeply into your heart. What is there? Compassion, love, acceptance, tolerance, patience, sincerity…?
Do you want love to abound in your lifetime and in this world or do you succumb to the everyday horrors that are acceptably seen in social media sites that numb you to any kind of compassionate thought that would lead you to stray away and do the right thing and love.
Where are we headed? And what does the future hold for our children? More tortures viewed in plain sight through videos that turn our hearts to stone? What kind of human will remain after those in power continue with their rampart ways of using another human because someone said they are lesser than another and therefore are allowed to kill or hurt them to their liking.
Think about how negative society is becoming then think about the way humans will be in the future with no hope other than being destroyed by someone’s beliefs.
Somehow, we need to take responsibility for our lives and the lives of those who are innocent and stop this runaway train of greed, lust and power that is destroying our very souls.
We need to be strong and go forth and stop those that see another as only a piece of remnant to beat up on. We need to acquire courage to be able to stand up to an injustice even though you think the leaders you look up to are right when you know deep in your heart it is wrong.
There is so much we can do to make a positive change for our future but it all begins with us, our values and morals; our ability to think and know the difference between right and wrong, and then taking action.
The only wrong is allowing another to control your mind to the point where you no longer see the injustice in killing or hurting another and think it is okay because it is what someone believes is right.
There is no right in torturing another due to age, sex, color, race, religion, wealth, etc.
Think for yourself and stand up against all the hurt and wrongdoings and fill your heart and soul once again with love, joy and peace. It all begins with you and your thoughts, then your positive and kind actions.
