Where Geniuses Fear to Tread

Why are political analysts, the various news media, politicians of every stripe, ambassadors, heads of state, CEO's of large and small corporations, the entire academic community, and intellectuals everywhere not asking this one simple question: “Why did Donald Trump steal America’s most sensitive documents, supervise their handling from Washington DC to his home at Mar-a-Lago, and further assured himself that they were securely in his possession and under his control while there?” It’s a compound question, so let’s give you some breathing room and put your answer in the multiple choice format:

     a. He wanted to wall paper his dining room.
     b. He was secretly fabricating new golf balls that sing “Top Secret” when hit.
     c. He was trying to lure Melania back into his bedroom with a trail of super macho secrets.
     d. He wanted to sell them to China and/or Russia for billions of dollars.
     e. All the above.

Analysis:

     a. This response suggests he needs an answer that will satisfy his 65 million Twitter followers. So it is a very good choice.
     b. This response reflects his love for the strenuous game of golf. And he does like to do things in grand style. So it is also a good choice.
     c. Setting aside the state of his actual abilities to fulfill Melania’s needs, he does like to show-off and exaggerate his remote fantasies as if they are real. It’s another good choice.
     d. What dictator would not want to sacrifice you, me, and the world in order to grab another $5 or $10 billion dollar deal? Yes, this is the Donald all the way.
√ e. All professional test takers know the high probability that “all the above” is the answer of choice by lazy questioners. If you chose this answer, you are one sharp cookie. Label yourself a genius. Correction: Chisel this in your tombstone “You were a genius.”
