No surprise to me that prime interest rates were raised 1/2 point with barely one month to go before our national elections. Yet regardless of political or financial beliefs, EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN should get this book, The Freedom Philosophy and read the first essay in the book, written by Benjamin A. Rogge which states his central thesis:
. . .the most important part of the case for economic freedom is not its vaunted efficiency as a system for organizing resources, not its dramatic success in promoting economic grwoth, but rather its consistency with certain fundamental moral principles of life itself.
That was the head-turner for me as to how I've felt one for so long, and is arguably of THE most sensible explanations of how freedom in America is looking more and more like socialism, particularly with the conflict of interest concerning our current Vice President Dick Cheney. He is the cryptic one who, in my opinion, is prostituting the very purity of the founding principles of free enterprise and covering his excuses with the blood of our troops and other innocents who, just want the right to live, for wanting to live is a basic freedom which no political power has the right to dictate anywhere on the face of this earth. Wall Street has no place on Pennsylvania Avenue where the marble pillars hide, for instance, the homeless who are forgotten at the gates of the presidential temple.
This is a book that all of us should translate for our children. It is not political, it is written with the intent of those who founded this nation. Supporting libertarian thinking is just a support of liberty, without the government telling us that wrong is right, and right is wrong. Libertarian thinking lets us feel free to think for ourselves, without intimidation for being free.
