There are many enviromental factors that attribute to educationing a child. It is very difficult to meet the many needs of each who are experiencing a rapid number of inconsistent normal behavior patterns in a dysfunctional system.

It's truly an on going struggle to teach a stanard-based lesson, when children have deep-rooted anger issues for being homeless living in a shelter, no proper medical care, need glasses, in a single-parent home, having lost a parent from death, an abused parent, did not have anything to eat the night before, or had to sleep in a bathtub because the spraying of bullets heard throughout the neighborhood, and lets not forget the vunerable child that have been violated in the night.

The many factors that have been described are major substances that contribute to a childs' performance in school. Are we such an insensitive society, that we do not consider the many enviormental factors that affects a child performance and then accuse our teachers for not being able to meet all the childrens' need and educate them perfectly. We do not have perfect children in a perfect society. There are many imperfections.

To be an effective teacher in 2012 are many factors involved. You have to be a parent, social worker,doctor, and counselor to address the many social developmental facors to help their mental attitude before you begin to incorporate a lesson.

With technology being the magical tool for learning such as a calculator, dictionary, finding hot topics and research this magical tool inadvertently is an interference with education such as music being played while the teacher is instructing, texting, sexting and cyberbullying. With this being said, our children cannot keep still and focus 15 minutes, without twitching, beating on the desk, side bar conversation, and getting up out of their seat to sharpen a pencil or get a tissue to blow their nose. Please remember a teacher has 28 plus students being involved in the aboved mentioned behavior patterns. Now I ask, when a child reaches 12 years of age they should know their basic multiplication tables and read  basic simple sentence.

Parents. Society.  Something is wrong with this picture.Weneed to repair this devasting challenge on educating our youth.
