Is the Catholic Left in America defunct, for example, Dorothy Day, Thomas Merton, Daniel and Phil Berrigan? Ron Powers sided with the yes on this question at a book signing for “nobody cares about crazy people.”

Today June 16th is Bloomsday and the 100th anniversary of the Farmer Labor Party. Greetings from Subtext bookstore in St. Paul, Mn. Is the Catholic Left of the 1950s and 60s defunct? Ron Powers was asked to acknowledge J. F. Powers’ Mort D’ Urban by a SJU class of 1968 Member. He refused to acknowledge this author. Ron Powers Book “nobody cares about crazy people” is a personal and collective tragedy out of Bread Loaf and Middlebury, Vermont. It is published by Hachette of France and NYC which is leading the fight against the Amazon Book sales. Little Brown Publishing is also out of the mix. Are Dorothy Day Thomas Merton and the Berrigans and others on the Left out of the mix?
