I like the timeless feel of a real book in my hands.

Call me old fashioned but when I read a book I like the timeless feel of it in my hands. I don't want to read it as an ebook on a Kindle or other device. This is why I don't publish anything as an ebook. If you have noticed you can get thousands of ebooks free. I'm not into writing free books. Writing a book is a labor of love. The book writing part comes easy to me but then there is the editing, the cover making and the actual publishing. It's not something easy or cheap. So many authors are into giving their work away that it has cheapened the craft and made it difficult for authors to sell real books. If you sell or give away ebooks that is certainly your right and this article is not meant in any way to disparage you. I feel like books are very much like life. If you devalue yourself you will be of little value to anyone. The same is true of publishing. Being an author is not something of little value, it is a calling and I think we should treat it as such.
