A letter to my President.
" United We Stand, Divided We Fall"
September 23, 2005
Dear President George Bush,
It is that I wish to express with deep thought and emotion my full support in your efforts to serve your country, The United States of America. I am moved in spirit to write to you, the President of the United States of America, and let you know that I am praying for you. Just the pure simple thought to let you know that you are not alone, that you are in my prayers each day.
Each day I read the newspaper and hear the news, it is that I am so deeply moved to prayer. Today I thought who needs to be encouraged, Lord who stands in need of prayer. And I heard the Lord say, “Write your President, the leader of your country.” In an obedience to His Will, it is that I respond. I wish to say that I am praying for you and yours. I pray that God give you fortitude to perservere, patience to endure, and courage to lead His people well.
The world sees all the negativity, yet I see the wonders of the Lord prevailing thoughout. I see a president who is using his God given talents of leadership. I know that you are a Christian, a believer who loves the Lord. To me that is the most important thing, salvation in Christ. I earnestly wish to encourage you, to lift your spirit and say, “If God is for us, who can be against us.”
As a Christian who loves the Lord, I believe that it is my responsibility to pray for my leaders. It is so that I wish to pray for you right now,
“Dear heavenly Father ,
I pray, dear Lord, bless my president, George Bush. Give him your strength, your courage, and Your will to go on. Empower him from on High. Bless him in a very special way. Protect him and his lovely family and watch over them from on High. Lord give him wisdom from on High to lead this country, the United States of America. Protect her shores and guard her against the evil that lurks within. Lord; guide him in his decision making. Lord comfort us a nation that was founded in “God we trust.” Heal our land and let Thy mighty hand protect our shores. God bless President Bush. Amen (So be it)”
My dear President, I shall continue to pray for you each day. We lift you up each day at our work bible study. And please remember that you are not alone, you are just a prayer away. And you shall continue to be in our thoughts each day. God bless you, my President of the United States of America, President George Bush.
