Prepare Me For Your Plan

          The Bible states “Many plans are in a man’s mind, But it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand, be carried out.”  Proverbs 19:21 AMP. We make plans all the time, daily, weekly and even yearly. But have you ever asked God to prepare you for His plan?

          There is a familiar scripture that we quote frequently in the Body of Christ about the plan of God. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11 KJV. I found that scripture in the Message version and it settled a lot of things for me, especially this part. “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”  God who in His infinite wisdom created everything seen and unseen, knows exactly what He is doing.

          Everyday of our lives has already been prepared before we even lived and tasted one day. Psalm 139:16 MSG. Usually, at certain periods during the end of the year, many begin to fast and pray about the new year. Some even wait until they have crossed over into the new year. It is time to ask to be prepared for is plan.

          “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10 KJV. There has been a lot that has happened during the year that may have distracted or even derailed the steps that were being taken. Tests and trials that came, with a lack of understanding of the process, may have opened areas in your spirit for the enemy to find a place within. The Word states that “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9 KJV. That means that we do not even know the depths of what may be rooted in our hearts. It is important to ask God to search and continually cleanse the heart so that there is nothing that is built up causing one to be in denial and deception. “But I, God, search the heart and examine the mind. I get to the heart of the human.  I get to the root of things. I treat them as they really are, not as they pretend to be.” 7:10 MSG.

          It is the instruction of the Lord that will keep us on track for the right path, but one must be willing to listen and learn. Are we paying attention when we hear His voice as we are His sheep? John 10:27 KJV. “For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:” Psalm 95:7-8 KJV.

          I personally have found out that I do know all that the Father has placed within me, as I am still discovering the gifts and the talents. God has packaged us for His greatness to be revealed and displayed to advertise His power on the earth through His Believers. Even though you may know your identity as a child of God, but everything about you has not been revealed. You are still a mystery. Ask for a glimpse of a page in your book. Can you handle it? Expect the goodness of God to manifest in your life in the days to come. It is His plan and He know what He is doing!

You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

I will press on—moving steadfastly forward along Your path.
    I will not look back. I will not stumble.

Psalm 17:5 Voice

Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart
And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

And He will make your paths straight and smooth removing obstacles that block your way.
