My name is Dawn Wilson and I am originally from Connecticut, but now reside in Milan Italy with my two daughters, where I teach English as a foreign language.
Birth Place: Southington, CT USA
Accomplishments: I have always enjoyed writing, and am now able to devote more time to it. A few summers ago I received an Honorable Mention in the Joyous Publishing Writing Competition, for my short story An Unconditional Love. This story has been published online, and is also available in print, along with several other short stories written by various other authors. Recently, I tied for second place with my short story The Candy Filled Box, in the Cynical Magazine Not So Cynical Holiday Writing Competition. I have had two short stories published by The Farside of Midnight; Submersion in the premier issue, and Face to Face in the April 2008 issue. Red Handed and Independence have both been published in the premier issue of Still Crazy, and Beauty Queen has been published in the April issue of Cafe del Sol. A Daughter's Thoughts About Her Heavenly Father and In His Company have both been recently published by The Online Christian Poet. The Silence of the Fall and Resurfacing Demons, both free verse poems, have recently received honorable mentions and have been published by The Secret Attic; an online and in print publication hailing from the United Kingdom. This past Christmas, Until Reunited, a short story, placed second in the Cynical Magazine Not So Cynical Holiday Writing Competition.
