Irene Taylor, is a teacher, a writer, and editor, with 25 years experience in the classroom, and an additional 10 years working for a local newspaper. She has taught students ages 5 through 11, and has worked extensively with both teachers and parents.
Through her years in the classroom, Irene has experience in all aspects of parenting and in helping parents make their children’s education both valuable and fun.
Irene is the head editor for Decoded Parenting, which is under construcation, but launching soon. Decoded Parenting is currently looking for writers who are considered experts in the parenting field – with a degree, certification, job experience, or other tangible qualification; some examples might be family therapists, daycare workers, teachers, early childhood specialists, social workers, book authors, child psychologists, and of course, many will also be parents who meet the expert criteria. She has written eight ebooks which focus on both education and parenting, including Homework Help: A Success Guide for Teachers and Parents and Study Skills and Learning Games. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and English. She has also taken post-graduate courses in Special Education and Mathematics.

The Phantom Tollbooth: A Teaching Guide is a guide for reading the classic story, The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. It is written for students ages 10-12. These lessons can be used by homeschoolers as part of a homeschool curriculum or by students who just want to be guided as they read a really great book. It can also be used by teachers who may be teaching this book to their classes, since it includes many great teaching ideas!
