Background Information

Irene Taylor, is a teacher, a writer, and editor, with 25 years experience in the classroom, and an additional 10 years working for a local newspaper. She has taught students ages 5 through 11, and has worked extensively with both teachers and parents.

Through her years in the classroom, Irene has experience in all aspects of parenting and in helping parents make their children’s education both valuable and fun.

Irene is the head editor for Decoded Parenting, which is under construcation, but launching soon. Decoded Parenting is currently looking for writers who are considered experts in the parenting field – with a degree, certification, job experience, or other tangible qualification; some examples might be family therapists, daycare workers, teachers, early childhood specialists, social workers, book authors, child psychologists, and of course, many will also be parents who meet the expert criteria. Irene is a judge in the annual Dan Poynter Global eBook Awards and her writing can also be found on her blogs: Teacher Tips and Lesson Plans and My Book Blog: eBook Reviews.

Here is a sampling of some of her other ebooks:

Tips for Teachers: Teaching About Time includes lesson ideas on basic time telling, reading analog and digital clocks, 24-hour clocks, the reasons for seasons, and much more.

The Phantom Tollbooth: A Teaching Guide is a guide for reading the classic story, The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. It is written for students ages 10-12.
