I grew up in Newfoundland, Canada, with seven brothers and sisters. After marrying my American husband, Kenneth, I gave up my teaching career to move to Florida. Now that the last of our five children is out of college (I think), I am finally finding the time to persue my great love; writing. I actually wrote my first novel when I was fourteen and then put it away until a few years ago when I took it out of storage, re-wrote it and submitted it for publication.  Trouble at the Blueberry Patch is the first of my books to be published. I am working on submitting my second novel, as well as perfecting 21 picture books. My picture book, "A Wild and Woolly Night"  was published in February 2007. One of my major influences was my highschool English-Lit teacher, Mr. Everett King. He may never know it, but his weekend assignments made me realize how much I loved to write.

Earned my private pilot license in 1977. I made a lemon souffle once.
