I was born and brought up in London, England and have lived and traveled in many exciting places in the world. I now reside in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada where I and my husband enjoy the great outdoors, many friends and three children (not necessarily in that order.) It could be that a family tradition that Charles Dickens was a many-times-great-grandfather always spurred my interest in both reading and writing. Whatever the reason, I turned from studying and teaching French language and literature to my own writing and have a whole host of characters and stories in my head, just waiting to be born. My husband and I came to the edge of the North American continent and left last September for a six month stay in rural Kenya. This was truly a life-changing experience and will hopefully be the inspiration for a book.
