A writer since the second grade, I got interested in thrillers and mysteries while working under cover in Europe. I learned from John le Carre, Eric Ambler, Mary Higgins Clark, Ross Macdonald, and other writers and try to apply their lessons to my books.

Professor Emeritus from Michigan Technological University, Writer of the Year award, numerous awards for articles, humor, short stories, etc. 1000 publications including about a dozen books. Awarded Lifetime Achievement Award by Upper Peninsula of Michigan Authors at their annual meeting, October 12, 2002.
