I'm a writer, musician, poet and artist.  I've been reading speculative fiction since I was a kid.  I'm fascinated by the question, "what if"--What if people could shift form?  What if people could work magic?  What if you screw up a magical spell, big-time?  My formal schooling was in anthropology.  It's a great field, because people affect just about everything, and just about everything affects people. I'm fascinated by how interrelated things are.  And I'm fascinated by mythology, by the stories we tell about the world, and about ourselves. I'm also fascinated by words.  Words shape our thoughts, our emotions, and ultimately our actions.  Words allow us to understand each other--and to misunderstand each other. And I'm committed to making each story the best story I can tell, and to learning more, so the next story will (hopefully) be better than the last.        

I've won ribbons at a Worldcon Masquerade and art contests and a Wiscon Art Show ribbon. I've published songs, essays and fiction.
