I am an author with a strong background in animal welfare and conservation education. I possess more than 20 years of writing, speaking and public relations experience, including the first educator for the Bozeman, Montana Humane Society and for the Grizzly Discovery Center in West Yellowstone, Montana. I have served as reporter for a variety of newspapers in Montana and Wyoming. I am the author of two children's books and a contributor to the lastest Chicken Soup for the Soul: What I Learned from the Dog. I travel to schools and libraries, reading from my books and conducting classroom presentations. My two books, Sage's Big Adventure and Sage Learns to Share feature my dogs as primary characters, teaching about disability awareness, courage and determination, friendship, and respect for self and others. I enjoy traveling, writing, and nature photography. I am currently working on three new books, another children's book about bison and two faith-based books about lessons learned from my blind dog and how the seasons of nature can correspond with the seasons of life we go through. I hope to finish these works within the next year.
