Influences: Just about everything. In terms of historical/investigative writing, I appreciate the work of such writers as Edward J. Epstein, Niall Ferguson, Antony Sutton and Bernard Wasserstein. Fiction-wise, some of my favorites are Eric Ambler, Raymond Chandler and George MacDonald Fraser (who certainly counts as a historical author as well). Not-so-guilty pleasures: Robert E. Howard and Aleister Crowley.
