I have been writing since my teens, when I was seduced by the fiction of Ursula Le Guin, Ray Bradbury, Sheri Tepper, Arthur C Clarke and others. Science and history fascinate me. To me, these subjects encompasse exotica and mystery and are not themillion miles apart they seem at first glance. Currently I read Philip Pullman, Mary Roach (non-fiction) and anyone with a breadth of imagination. Genealogy has become an interest of mine in the past few years and has inveigled its way into my writing. My latest, The Pius Documents, is a case in point. I would like to encourage my readers to explore new realms and possibilities, both Earthly and extra-terrestrial!
