Jan Harvey is an author and artist based in The Cotswolds,England. After a career as a magazine editor/designer working on various business publications she became an author five years ago. The Seven Letters is her debut novel and her fans will be pleased to hear that her second novel is underway. The two books are linked by Paris, the city that inspires her work.

Jan Harvey's most early influences were CS Lewis, Daphne du Maurier and The Brontės. Latterly, she has become a fan of Kate Morton and Patrick Gale. Her favourite contemporary novel is 'The History of Love' by Nicole Krauss.
Jan studied film history at university and much of her inspiration comes from old Hollywood movies and the greats of the golden era but particularly, Cary Grant!
