I write professionally about the approach to therapy in which I train called NeuroTherapy Training. I am the author of the textbook that is used in the training program. I do extensive writing outside of my field. I've been a long-time feature profile writer for a regional print magazine dedicated to recreational boaters. I have authored three columns, each focused on the boating lifestyle. I regularly publish freelance articles on eclectic subjects. I have taught a writing class since 1999 spawning national contest winners. The students focus on publishing articles and are regularly successful. My belief is "Writers should be read." I lecture in University of Washington marketing classes on the importance of writing skills for business.

Three students of the Writer's Workshop I teach have won national writing contests. Two are featured in the Willard Scott Book, The Older The Fiddle The Better The Tune.

I teach a column writing class at writer's conferences and lecture on the subject.

I have been a 20-year member of the Lake Hills Writer's Workshop and strongly believe writers should regularly interact with a community of other writers.

I am a regular on AOL's Writer's Cafe. If you visit, know that it's kind of a CHEERS for tired writers. Don't discount good chat rooms, I was hired by a contact there to write a column.
