I have been writing journalism for many years, but have always had it in the back of my mind to write fiction. Starting about two years ago, I've been writing short pieces, about 12 of which have been published so far in small magazines and e-zines. I'm also the author of a self-published novel, "The Diner Under the El."

Two awards for archaeology work in Israel, also one for taking part in a conference on helping people with psychiatric disabilities get jobs.

I live in Manhattan with my wife and cat, Celeste, in the Penn SOuth co-ops
