While many designers guard their design secrets closely, I share my techniques so that others too may master the skill. I’ve taught desktop publishing at Denver area colleges and dedicated my time and resources to mentoring independent publishers. I was a board member and program director for Colorado Independent Publishers Association (CIPA). My monthly design tips column, Desktop Publishers Coach, was published in the CIPA Signature newsletter for three years.
I have given live presentations, teleseminar and webinar interviews on design, marketing and branding to many professional and trade organizations including the National Speakers Association, SpeakerNet News.com, and Webmomz.com.
I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from Western Michigan University in 1982. I am a self-taught computer graphic designer. I was the production manager for Cimarron Productions and Genigraphics, two computer graphics and multimedia firms.
In 1990, I founded my Colorado-based graphic design firm, MacGraphics Services (www.MacGraphics.net). As part of a dynamic team of professionals, my company provides one-stop shopping and includes everything from ads, logos, flyers, book covers, product packaging, and more. My target market are speakers, authors, coaches, consultants and small business owners.
My online newsletter and blog, Graphics Image Builder, reveals how ordinary people can boost their business with simple, but powerful design tips to create marketing materials that really sell.
I am seeking opportunities to form joint ventures and strategic alliances with small business owners, entrepreneurs and training organizations who participate in or support the marketing, advertising, writing and speaking industries.
