Writing has always been an escape for me. Coming from a convoluted mess of a family (the usual broken home, mixed family, abusive parents), I quickly learned to get lost in words - whether those words were stories I read, poetry and stories I wrote, or just words jumbling together in my mind. Now, I have a non-broken family and although I still use my writing as an escape, my husband and children are my inspiration.
