SHINTO

Ancient Japanese
religion.
Amorphous (without regular form) mix.

Nature,
Fertility,
Divination,
Hero worship,
Shamanism.

No real founder,
No written scripture,
No body of religious law.

Kami's child.
Shinto gods are called kami.
The Sun Goddess Amaterasu
is considered Shinto's
most important kami.

Sacred places:
waterfalls,
streams,
mountains,
sacred straw rope,
stretched between the
gateway, torii.

Affirmations:

Tradition and family

Love of nature

Physical cleanliness

Matsuri.

Shinto shrines:

Pillar

Hut

Mountain

Funnel

Shinto,
spiritual ideals
of
purity
and
simplicity.

Shinto.

You are deep. You go where most of us fear to tread and when you get there, you proceed to kick assutil you have mastered it and then turn around and drop it on us unsuspecting would-be poets whose only concern is why our boyfriends and girlfriends left us last night. Rock on!
