Inspiring my spunky heroine were my squeeze, Bob, and my mom, Nora T., who's 100. My heroine is nowhere near that age, but she's a spry boomer.

Cealie Gunther is the sexy, spunky boomer protagonist of my new mystery series. She's the woman I want to become.
Cealie loves Cajun food from her hunky somestimes-ex-lover's restaurants. And like me, her favorite is boiled crayfish -- imagine that! Besides, our families are most important.
But like my squeeze Bob, Cealie will say or do almost anything. (On my website, www.juneshaw.com, you can see him going in the hospital for a procedure; he's wearing a pig costume.) You can also see my mom dancing the Macarena with me and our friends for her 100th birthday!
With these two as models, my main character has been so much fun to create!
