Those in New Orleans Lost Everything

As Thanksgiving approaches, I thought I would share a video created by one of my fellow Katrina animal rescuers.  Her name is Pat Leavy, and she's from Baton Rouge.

She's an extremely dedicated person, and even, today, she continues her valiant efforts - helping those who now have nothing at all.

Besides depicting the horrific plight of  the 'left behind' animals, Pam's video truly shows the destruction the people of New Orleans endured, many of them who now have nothing at all left of their former lives.

When many of us entered some of these devastated homes, we wept, and these were not even our homes.  Try to imagine what it must be like today for those who did live here.

Be thankful for what you have, and please help those less fortunate this Holiday Season.

Good job, Ed.
Thanks for sharing.
It drives homw the importance of being thankful for what we have.
IF you take care of everything as if it is your best, and your last, you will never want for anything.

A message that we should be reminded of every day, and a thought that should be added to our daily prayers!

As horrible as Katrina/Gulf Coast was, this horror happens to many others around the world.

Grateful that your shared this with us, Ed.
