Different Colors of Fall
by ZAFAR KHAN
Not "rated" by the Author.

Fall is over but lovely colors of Nature it produced remain fresh in our minds. Let us see how its colors have their manifestations in human life too.

Nothing has fascinated me so much in life as the different colors of Fall. What a beauty with a lot of variety, red, brown, yellow and gold. God`s Bounty and Grace, His Beauty and Love can be seen every where. As I enjoy all this my mind moves to man`s life and its moods. This is no where so much pronounced than in the life of the American people.
Let me talk about social life first. Most of the parents send their children to public schools, but the movement of Home Schooling seems to be catching up fast. Women have taken a lead in this phenomenon. While thei husbands are busy in their places of work, dedication of some women in educating their kids and the kids of their neighbors catches my attention and silent appreciation. It is because these volunteers are doing what our public school system has partly failed in doing. Yes, you are right. I am talking about imparting true values of life. These women are even inspiring men-folk to join and support their noble mission. I know some women who did forego their jobs simply because they are concerned about the future of thei kids.
The next change in American social life is their newly acquired love for organic food. Obesity, on account of inorganic foods has taken its toll.People are saying,"Enough is enough." Go to any mall and you can see people rushing to the shelves of organic foods."Health is Wealth" is a time-tested adage.
Yoga and Meditation have become needs of the hour. Life is too much un organized. Peace of mind seems to be eluding us like a mirage. Recently, I visited some schools and found Yoga and Meditation in full gear. Skeptics are always there. The good thing is that we allow peaople freedom to think for their own good, and enjoy their right of dissent.
These features of American life are most pronounced in our restaurants, when one friend orders non-veg. food, while his very intimate friend prefers purely veg.diet. Intersting ,isn`t it !
In short, just like the beauty and variety of Fall, let us also celebrate beauty and variety in life , and thank God for showing us the way in the season of Fall.
