Michael the cat's gave a mighty yell
a soaring blue-jay grabs at his tail
Jay swoops down one thought in mind
'get rid of a cat' attack from behind.
Michael the cat's gave a mighty yell
a soaring blue-jay grabs at his tail
Jay swoops down one thought in mind
'get rid of a cat' attack from behind.
Jay didn't know, what this poet knew,
Michael's harmless, scaredity cat too.
He's squat there, a tremble with fear,
everything droops, including his ear.
He's been neutered front claws gone
he'll grab something can not hold on
Michael's squats, all hunkering down
fat belly flattened hugs the ground
Up jay flies with beak full of hair
Mike's petrified in wide-eyed stare
then blue jay lands atop of his nest
returns to Michael to get the 'rest'.
Michael's body ground-pressed so flat
like a big soft rug lays Mike the cat
Michael is rescued by Ms.Jenny-Wren
with broom in hand she yells and then.
She shoos away, a determined blue-jay
a Jenny Wren rescued her cat that day
Michael in arms. she said(going home)
“ better weave my widdle baby a-wone !"
a kind of kitty talk, cats understands
especially this-kitty held in her hands
Knowing he's safe from any and all harm
Michael slept curled, on Jennywren’s arm.
