We went for an Autumn ride yeaterday to see the old home place of my parents and the river we used to swim in and the gulf where we used to go fishing.

Lou wanted to go to hte gulf , it is truly deserted any time of the year and might even be called dangerous by some, "one never knows who is in the woods/" as mom used to say that was instilled into me as a child. . I never ventured out very far (just ladies alone,)
But Lou is an adventurous soul and said "ahhh come on,ma, lets go," so I relented.

See? I knew I should have stayed on the main road. and I am paying with a sore body for my going against my better instincts yesterday. The wee small voice warned me and I neglected it. He God, looks down the road ahead of our travels.,and will warn of impending danger., if we but only listen to Him.

We got out of the car to walk around and view our surroundings and Lou said something funny (as she is noted to do), and I got so tickled at her foolishness, that it absolutely made me weak, feeling like someone stole my bones from my legs, ( t'was the devil that is who,) and down I go like a huge oak tree, (KERPLOP!) landing right on my nose and knees , did not break anything or even get scratched , just got dirty. praise God it was soft where I landed and full of fallen leaves.

But I looked like one of those huge roly-poly dolls that you get the kids to knock over and they set back up on their bottom well, sir, there Jenny wren sat on her bottom, pretty as you please., and cannot get up!

Yep, there I sat I sat 74 years old,in the autumn leaves and not a soul for 'Miles and miles' around. weighing in at three hundred pounds , weak heart, and weak legs, forget the arms they are worse than weak they do not work right., I find, not one bit of strength left in them, it seems.

Yep you guessed it. I cried out to God
"HELP ME HERE, LORD" and My God is famous for doing the impossible , which He did... for this silly old woman/child of His.

I am today. praising God as I write to you now, I feel that we never do thank God enough for the care He gives to each of us, each and every day of our lives we spend here and for the unseen dangers he will keep us from (If we will only listen to that little voice inside ,which I failed to do that time.) I listened to the big nut driving the car, named Lou haha.

I know I am guilty of this thing myself, of failing to thank God for watch-care over us all of the time,
Even yesterday, when I accidentally sat helplessly on the leaf covered ground, yep, yesterday, (we are in the midst of autumn)----- I thought quickly to another time I sat in my living room floor after gonna do my exercises and only then did I realized I should have never gotten down there, I said then
"Lord if you will please give me the gumption to get up from here, I shall never, I mean never, intentionally get back down here on purpose again,," he showed me how to get up then and I had pulled a cushion from the couch and got my knees on it and finally lifted myself upright.

First thing I said yesterday, to God aloud is :"You see, LORD,I did not do this on purpose" then I finished my prayer "I know Lou cannot lift this heavy load and no-one is here about to give us assistance , Lord You give us the wisdom to know how to get me back up, and going again."

all of a sudden Lou said "Momma. roll to the bank and then it will be easier,"
(good (GODLY) thinking) I thought to myself. "thank you Lord" and over and over I rolled and tumbled like a kid in the fallen leaves of gold and brown/ that felt good and brought back good memories. .I went toward the bank ,it worked and 'up I came' . it was truly ‘a sight to behold‘.. :)

Lou said "I can just see the headlines now, 'Daughter takes mother to the woods . knocks her down and kills her'.:"
she said "I would probably make the headlines of every news feature in the land ..probably even hit the fox news." I had to warn her to ‘hut up until I sat down in the car‘ .unless she wanted a ;;repeat performance.

we had to laugh to keep from crying, I am quite sore this morning , but nothing is broken ,but the silence every once in a while when we think about it. with new peals of laughter, from the thoughts of an autumn day in Tenn., another Memory???? made.....:P jenny wren
