Our Inner Man
We have to keep feeding our inner man constantly with God’s word.
Inner: Spirit
Outer: Flesh
Man is:
1. Spirit: The inner man that possesses the nature of God.
2. Soul: Our mind, will and emotions
3. Body: Our outer man (flesh).
Ephesians 3:16 (NKJV)
that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
Romans 8:10 (NKJV)
And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
What is the inner man? It’s our born again Spirit and who we are in Christ?
It’s:
1. The Spirit of wisdom
2. The Spirit of power
3. The Spirit of understanding
4. The Spirit of fear of the Lord.
5. The Spirit of rigorousness.
Are we growing in Christ? Or are we stagnant? Are we just floating along with the stream of life or are we struggling because we are doing the will of God?
Our inner man must progress if we are to keep growing in Christ. And not become stagnant How do we keep on progressing?
1. We have to walk according to the Spirit; this way we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
2. We have to learn to let the spirit dominate us.
3. We have to keep feeding our inner man constantly with God’s word.
4. We must read the scriptures on a daily basis.
5. Listen to your inner man when God speaks and do as God says. Remember greed is not our God give when and what God tells you to give.
6. Make your Spirit strong with God’s word and you will keep the doors close to the enemy.
