I want to thank you for the joy
that you’ve given me,
and for the nine months,
you’ve carried me.

Oh, Mommy! You mean
more than the world to me,
and I’m glad the Master gave me
eyes to see.

The whirlwind passes us everyday.
Still you guide me on life’s highway,
and as I continue to journey in time;
your love will always be in this heart of mine.



As I Tarry along Life’s Road

I walked the burning sands,
Day after day;
Praying that I’d get
to college someday.
I asked myself,
Will I ever be a man?
Or will I stay here
And tarry in this land?

Heaven help me!
I pray each night;
Give me some courage
And the will to fight.
Strengthen me, oh Father,
Because I’m about to give up.
Enlighten me with your blessings
Which flow from above.
