A personal prayer

Dear Lord I have need of you today,
I need to be refreshed, with a new sense of purpose
'am tired of the mundane returals that life has me living day by day
the failures of broken dreams, and promises that have been left along lifes highway.

Lord, send your angels to stand guard for the useless thoughts that I sometime have
the passive attitude that I sometime posses
Lord give me a new mind, a new heart, and a new spirit
that I may worship you daily, awake me each day with a new song on my lips
so that my spirit can worship you with a vibrance, refreshed for the new day.

Lord I know that there are seasons for each chapter of my life
but when I seem to lose sight of you, bring me back to you
for to know you is to trust you, to feel you is to see you
and seeing you makes me want become more like you...
