Dear Senator Obama;

You can win this nomination and you WILL. Your message of change has catalyzed the country - young, old, male, female, white, and across the barriers of race and religion. Those of us who already support you are unwavering in our confidence in your ability to lead this country, heal the nation even, and dress the wounds inflicted by the Bush administration the world throughout. There are still people who need to be convinced, however; people who can and will be motivated by the brand of fear and negativity recently promoted by the Clinton campaign. We are, after all and overall, a nation of simple-minded and easily persuaded people. This fight has and will make you stronger, and while you aim to keep your campaign on the positive - on the issues - it may be time to pull out the big guns. After all, many Americans will need to know that you have them. Big guns. Big balls. The ability to fight back.

Remind them of your 20+ years of experience serving the American public. Tout this, please! Remind them that Hillary Clinton is no more qualified to run the White House than a heart surgeon's wife would be to open up a dying patient's chest. Remind them, and often, of Hillary's failed attempt at health care reform during her husband's administration. Remind them of why she failed, and that fighting is not always the answer. Remind them of her reluctance to share her tax returns – what does she have to hide? Remind them of the Clinton's NAFTA, and be specific about the numbers of jobs lost and lives, ultimately, ruined as a result. Remind them of Whitewater, and often, and the numbers of Clinton associates who suffered mysterious deaths during "their" administration; including Whitewater associates Vince Foster and James MacDougal, Mary Caitrin Mahoney, Ron Brown, Jerry Luther Parks, Victor and Montgomery Raiser, et al. Most importantly, remind them that the Clinton's represent exactly type of self-serving, corporate controlled and funded government we are hoping to change – they epitomize "The Machine." Hillary Clinton offers us nothing but more of what we've already had.

As for John McCain: When his time comes, remind us that he, admittedly, knows nothing about economics – the chief concern for most Americans at this juncture. Remind us about his adulterous nature; that he had an affair with his current wife (Cindy) while still married to the first, and that with his Naval career at a standstill, he used Cindy McCain's family's wealth and power to jumpstart his political career. Educate them about McCain's involvement with the Keating Five – these are all true testimonies to his character. Remind them that the current President Bush, whose endorsement McCain is basking in as I write this, once dismissed him as a "nutty" political opponent. And, last but not least, finish the job that the New York Times started: Expound on his twice alleged romantic relationship with lobbyist, Vicki Iseman. Here is a politician - literally - in bed with the lobbyists!

Your political rivals have unleashed the kitchen sink, and people are listening to them. Hillary has garnered her recent successes from sheer Obama-bashing. Nothing more. This is not how you wish to run your campaign, I know. This is not the America you wish to promote. You can sling your own kitchen sink, I'm sure, and I have every confidence that you can do it with grace, diplomacy, and without abandoning your overall message. Your campaign has worked brilliantly, up until this point. It is time now, however, to modify, to adjust to the changing tenor of this election. No more Mr. Niceguy, Obama. America needs to see your blood-dripping fangs. Even Jesus had to open up a Can of Whip Ass on the money-changers!

My thoughts, prayers, donations, and undying support are with you. And, most importantly, I thank you for breathing life and possibility back into American politics.
