Mr. Stinson's resume and credentials may be viewed on my bio page. His resume reads more like a pamphlet. He's really conducting cutting edge work on police crime. There are simple not many scientist delving into this new phenomenon.

His work is in the preliminary stages, and he may have it complete in two years or so (long time for us, short time for a scientist). 

This article concerns a paper he wrote and presented at the American Society Of Criminology Convention in Los angeles, California, November 1, 2006.  He researched the arrest of 657 police officers across the United States and broke their crimes down to data. 

Okay, remember the questions above? Here are the preliminary results. As for as assaults and murders:

Police officers with 3-5 years on the force are more likely to commit Assaults and Murders (or have committed the above crimes) with a greater frequency!  Intimidation, 18 -20 years of service.

Shocking huh? Remember, we're talking about cops, not common criminals.

The next question, concerning forcible fondling:

Police officers that were on the force 18-20 years committed this type of crime more often!

Let's look at  DUI's and Drug Offenses:

DUI's are 3 -5 years and drug offenses are 9 -11 years. 

Disorderly conduct and vandalism, 3-5 years.

I guess many of you are shaking in your shoes just thinking about meeting bad cops. You should be, in my opinion it's an epidemic!

You think I'm exaggerating?  Between 1990 - 1996, over 200 police officers were arrested that were members of the Washington, D.C. Police Force. 34 arrested just in 2007.  In Ohio, 44 officers arrested for protecting cocaine shipments.

Daily, bad cops are raping our women, taking bribes, hitting our youths, planting evidence, and just dishonest to the core.

I for one appreciate the research being done by people like Mr. Stinson. I always knew these things but when I see it on paper it validates my fears. Be careful all, of criminals and bad cops!
