Whose Problem is it, Parents, Students, Schools or Employers: A Classroom Teachers Guide to Understanding Bullying Behavior in Schools and the Workplace

Abstract

Bullying behavior is a phenomenon that is beginning to be fully recognized by researchers. Public awareness of physical and emotional injuries as a result of bullying in both the school and the workplace is growing.  Students who bully are more likely become adult bullies. The potential and real dangers of bullying found in society today, create negative stress for students, teachers and families.  Visionary classroom teachers are in a position to seek out creative solutions to redesign negative behavior. The result of such vigilance is a more confident adult worker who will not bully in the workplace and will not accept the bullying behavior of others.
